Assistive Listening Devices (ALD)

Assistive Listening Options at Our Church

We want everyone to fully engage in worship without missing a single word, prayer, or song.

If you experience difficulty hearing during our services, we offer three simple, free ways to help bring the audio directly to you.

Need assistance?

If you need help, please see a member of the Audio/Visual Team. We will happily walk you through the setup!

  • OPTION 1: Borrow one of our Pocket Receiver

We have lightweight, portable receiver packs available for anyone to use during the service.

    • Best For: Visitors, or anyone without a smartphone or Telecoil compatible hearing aid.
    • How to Use: Visit the sound booth before service to borrow a receiver pack and earpiece. Just turn it on and adjust the volume dial. * These can also be checked-out if you are a regular attender (use the QR code at the sound booth)
    • You can also use your own headphones or earbuds with a 3.5 mm plug.
  • OPTION 2: Use Your Own Hearing Aid (Telecoil Loop)

We have “Telecoil loop” lanyards that can be used with our Listening Assist Receivers.

    • Best For: People with telecoil compatible hearing aids. (Also works with some cochlear implants.)
    • How to Use: Simply switch your device to the "T" (Telecoil) position. Plug in the telecoil loop and adjust the volume on the receiver.
  • OPTION 3: “Auracast” (Bluetooth LE Streaming)

You can stream house audio straight to your hearing aid through the app on your smartphone.

    • Best For: Those with Auracast compatible hearing aids (Currently, ReSound Nexia and Jabra Enhance Pro 20)
    • How to Use: 1. On your smartphone, pull up the app that controls your hearing aid. 2. In the BT/Auracast setting, locate the “RockyBayouBaptist” broadcast and select it.
