  • Troy Hamilton

    SENIOR PASTOR

    Troy was born in Texas but moved to Niceville in 1987 at the age of 14. He graduated from Cedarville University in 1995 and later earned his Master of Arts from Columbia Biblical Seminary and his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He completed his Doctor of Ministry from SBTS in 2023. Troy served oversees for three years in remote parts of the Philippines and Mozambique until he met his lovely wife Beth (who grew up in Africa). Troy and Beth married in 2000 and ministered at a church in South Carolina for four years before moving to Central Asia to serve with the International Mission Board for twelve years. The Lord called Troy full-circle back to Niceville, where he began serving as senior pastor at Rocky in 2016. He enjoys backpacking, paddleboarding and spending time with Beth and their three children: Grace, Tim, and Christine. His life verse is Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.”

  • Bill Turner

    ASSOCIATE PASTOR FOR YOUTH & COUNSELING

    Bill was born in Oklahoma.  He earned his Bachelors degree from Oklahoma Baptist University, and a Master’s degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Bill has served churches as a student pastor / associate pastor in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Florida.  Bill has been married to Melissa Turner for 25+ years.  They have four children (Josh, Alison, Lydia, and Chesed).  Bill and Melissa met in college and married soon after finishing college. Bill and Melissa have a passion to join parents in the discipleship and evangelism of their teenagers.  He has been committed to student ministry for over 16 years. 2 Corinthians 12:9 has been the guiding verse for Bill’s life. It says, “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”  Bill hopes he will be the kind of man that is fully aware of his weaknesses, in order to be fully sustained by God.

  • Robbie Gray

    ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF DISCIPLESHIP & ADMINISTRATION

    Robbie was born and raised in Kentucky and came to know the Lord through the Baptist Campus Ministry at Western Kentucky University. Robbie was pursuing a teaching degree, but shortly after His conversion to following Jesus, he felt called to full-time ministry. After graduating college with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership, Robbie earned a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in order to better prepare for ministry. While at SBTS, Robbie met his lovely wife, Erica; they were married in 2017. They ministered to a church in South Florida for nearly four years before recently moving to Niceville, which brought Erica full-circle since she grew up in this church. Robbie and Erica are parents to Peter, whom they adopted from India in 2021. Robbie is passionate about teaching the Bible and equipping others to follow Jesus more closely. Robbie enjoys movies, reading good books, watching Kentucky basketball and football, and spending time with Erica and Pete. 

  • Chris Tredway

    Chris served as Music/Worship Leader for Lakeland Christian Church in Polk County for 13 years, leading the instruments, choir, praise team, and all worship services. While at Rocky Bayou Baptist, Chris served as the Interim Worship Leader with his wife Michelle from October, 2011 through November, 2013, and again from June, 2018 through September, 2022. He has a M.M. Florida State University, and a B.S, University of West Florida. Chris taught band for thirty-two years at the high school, junior high, and middle school levels in Georgia and Florida. In addition to his public school teaching experience, Chris also served five years as Assistant Professor of Music at Southeastern University where he taught courses in music theory, conducting, orchestration, instrumental music methods, and secondary music education.  

  • Pam Bristol

    Pam Bristol and her family moved to Niceville in June of 1989 and joined the family at Rocky in August of that year. Pam has a bachelor’s degree in education and has taught in Christian schools in Texas. Upon arriving in Florida, she concentrated on her family and homeschooling her three children. Her husband, Ken, came to Jackson Guard as a Forester for Eglin Air Force Base and he is currently the GIS manager for Eglin. They have three grown children, Jarret (married to Jamie), Daniel (married to Kacy), and Mikayla. Pam joined the staff in the Children’s Ministry Department in July of 2005. Pam loves God’s Word, spending time with her family, and people… all people, especially the little ones!  

  • Denise Melendez

    Originally from Indiana, Denise grew up in an Air Force family. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in special education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Denise married David in 1990, and they have two daughters, Kayla (married to Kevin) and Hannah. They have lived in Niceville and attended Rocky since 1997. After previously serving on staff as Preschool Ministry Director, Denise rejoined the staff in 2010 as a ministry assistant. She enjoys spending time with family and grandchildren, hiking,  and digging into the Word with women in Bible Study.
